This hotel, situated in one of the oldest housing estates, exemplifies the unique planning and architectural style typical of British public housing from the same period. The first convertion of former Singapore Improvement Trust flats to a hotel, the property consists of 2 pre-war buildings, complete with its original facade, situated on opposit sides of the main road, connected by an overhead, air-conditioned link bridge. Services provided include a business centre with secretarial services, currency exchange, laundry and dry cleaning, an outdoor car park as well as a shuttle service to Orchard Road. The hotel also has a lobby lounge with a live band in the evenings.
